| Ok, it's not working properly as I thought. One of my kids has a pic uploaded and it's making us download it when I changed all the size dimensions, uploads quotas and set it to inline vs what ever other option there was?!?! |

Actually it is working correctly. The reason why the image wasn't displaying in the message and the download link was provided is because you had the Image Link Dimensions set to 300x300. What this did was prevent any images that were wider and/or taller than 300 pixels from displaying:
I set it to 0x0 so that images of all dimensions will display. You may want to adjust that again to suit your needs now that you know what caused the original problem. The setting is at the bottom of the ACP Attachments Special Categories page...

Yeah NR, I saw that but... I thought that if say the orignal dimensions under Maximum Image Dimensions was over 800 x 800, then that section would create a link not more than, let's say, 300 x 300 as I had set it. So, what actually should happen is that if an image is 800 x 800, let's say, then I should set the link to 900 x 900???

No, it doesn't resize if the image is too large. It just displays a download link as you saw. It is better to leave the setting at 0x0 and install another MOD that can resize the image for your oversized attachments. That way this will never happen again...
Resize_Posted_Images_Based_on_Max_Width_2.4.5.zip
This includes two MOD scripts that you would want to install, one for posted images and one for attachment images...

Ohhhh NR to the attachment MOD rescue. Now those two additional scripts did wonders. Man, I love this MOD even more now that it's been "tweaked" as it looks very good.
