I only have Quick Time installed, no Quick Time for Windows

Preferences are found here:

You can uncheck that Nero utility.

To keep QuickTime from installing in the system tray go to the Advanced Tab in Quick Time settings and uncheck the box at the bottom under Tray Icon

There seems to be conflicting descriptions/advice about Narrator.exe.  You can just leave it, doesn't seem to take up much resources.

Also Click on Update and see if you have the latest version. Apparently I don't.

I cannot find any settings section in Quicktime For Windows.  I looked at "edit' in thr Picture Viewer and the Movie Viewer.  When I clicl on "Edit" I get only grayed-our items and none of them are properties.  Should I delete QuickTime Fpr Windows alltogeather?  I checked for updates and my QuickTime is up to date.

I don't get the same QuickTime settings window that you do.  Mine are like the SS below.

This  is my version of Quick Time right now, haven't upgrated yet, may be why we have different preference?  Doesn't seem right though.

When you click on Preferences do you get these three items in the menu?  If so choose Quck Time Preferences

You should get a window with TABS at the top.  The window is longer than what shows in the screen shot

My version of QuickTime is 5.2.0.  That may explain the appearance difference.  When I check for updates I get a window saying that my software is up to date.  Should I uninstall the QuickTime For Windows?

CORRECTION:  My Quicktime version is 6.5.2.  I am D/Ling  QuickTime 7.1 to my "Downloads" folder.  Should I uninstall the 6.5.2 version and install the 7.1 version?

Why not first see what the new install will do.  Most often when you install a newer version it will do the uninstalling for you.

DON'T GET THE ITUNES WITH IT!!!  I've read where the Itunes can cause problems.

K, I installed the newest version of Quick Time

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html

Do NOT get the one with iTunes.

Installed without a hitch and it also removed all the old files as it went along.  Did a great job too.

Install and then try Good Morning again
