I'm sure that is true, but surprisingly, they wouldn't admit it. I don't care what happened really. All I know is that we had a problem, I complained, then the problem went away...

Thats the fastest one to date. I got the notification 1 min after you posted it, Cheers. 
I was waiting for hours sometimes before. So what ever they did it fixed that issue also it seams.

I normally answer all my notifications within a few minutes if I'm at the computer when they come in. If you have a post marked yesterday sometime and I haven't responded for 12 hours that means I didn't get the notification or I'm dead in my chair. ROTFL.

At least you know to look if you haven't gotten any responses in a timely manner. I have gone back to sites I've worked on and found very old PMs that I had never been notified about. I'm sure the sender probably thought that I had chosen not to respond when in fact I didn't even know that the PM existed. I wish the whole email and notification system was more reliable. There are a lot of different places where it can fail, so it's not surprising that it does so often...

At forumsPlace their emails are dead on every time and get to me in like 2 seconds. I don't understand why everyones notifications aren't like that.

Since there are variables beyond our control, no site is immune from email delivery problems. If anything faills anywhere along the delivery path, then the email may never get delivered. Sometimes rb is lucky to receive her email within several hours after it was delivered. Either her email is being intercepted or there is a problem with her host servers. We've had members register who never received the activation email even though I was able to confirm that the email was delivered from our servers. There is really no way of knowing where it gets stuck...
