True, I guess it's something to do with the wrong server settings or something though because that’s where it gets stuck
I’ve sent them an email anyway. Will let you know what they say.

Hopefully they are quick to respond. Is it possible that the settings to the server you are connecting to have changed since it was set up? You said it used to work but then quit working even though nothing had changed. That would imply that something changed on the other end...

| Exactly. Might have to look up another irc server. Doubt they'll reply today now. im not good with irc stuff so will just wait and see what they say rather than me mess about with a loads of stuff that isn't necessary and what would take me hours do for them to tell me to put all back but just change one setting or something haha. Ill wait |

There may be a faq for the IRC Server that you were trying to connect to too, that may explain what needs to be set in order to connect to them. If true, you wouldn't have to wait for the developer to get back to you...

Hmm, then it must be a common problem that affects any server that you attempt to connect to, which would imply that the problem isn't in the Login information but in the software itself...

Yeah, they replied back saying to upgrade to version 2.8.5 http://www.jpilot.com/products/jirc/download.jsp
That’s all they put. They didn't put what I needed to do. Hopefully it tells you in the upgrade files. I don't want to upgrade but lose how the way the chat room loads inside the djpassion template etc. I'm at work at the moment so can't look into it. Guess I'll have to check later. At least this will hopefully correct the problem now  |

just need to find a decent server that doesn't come up with all that news stuff when first entering the chat room |
